Lifecycle of a Butterfly | Stages of a Butterfly

The lifecycle of a butterfly consist of some stages which started from an egg.  The female butterfly lays an egg on the leaves. The egg hatches into a caterpillar. The caterpillar eats leaves and grows. The caterpillar attaches to a twig and form a shell, which is called pupa. Inside the pupa, the caterpillar changes into a butterfly.
